Paul McAfee is co-founder and President of Aduo, Inc., working with Suzanne Witnauer to create a construction related company in Western New York.He and Suzanne founded Aduo, Inc., in August, 2007. Paul also is an entrepreneur who has focused on helping small business grow in Western New York for several years.
In his past corporate and consulting life, Paul has led efforts resulting in dramatic improvements for Fortune 500 clients.These include Kodak and Danaher, as well as start-ups and other companies.Prior to founding Aduo, Paul held senior executive positions at Danaher, Eastman Kodak Company, Ciba-Geigy, and Sprint PCS.
Paul serves as a pro bono entrepreneur-in-residence at the State University of New York's University at Buffalo Technology Incubator.He recently completed three years as a pro bono entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Rochester?s Office of Technology Transfer.
Paul is Past President of the Rotary Club of Amherst East, in Amherst, New York. He will serve as President a second time in the 2010-2011 year. Paul also is Director of Public Relations for Rotary District 7090, covering Western New York and Southern Ontario, Canada.
Paul is a past Board member of infoTech Niagara (www.infotechniagara.org), and of Kevin Guest House (www.kevinguesthouse.org), in Buffalo, New York.Paul is a charter Board member of the SumoKids Foundation. SumoKids uses the discipline of Sumo wrestling to teach troubled children life skills.
Paul served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971. He served in a combat engineering group in Pleiku, Vietnam, from 1969 to 1970. He subsequently served in a self propelled artillery unit in Hanau, Germany, from 1970 to 1971. Paul took his discharge in Germany and traveled throughout Europe for three months before returning to home to finish his undergraduate degree.
Paul received a BA and Humanities degree with honors from the University of Maryland in 1974, where he double majored in radio, television and film production, and philosophy, specializing in mathematical linguistics.He received his MBA from the University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, in 1995.He is a member of the humanities honor society Phi Beta Kappa, the business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma, and is a 20-year member of Mensa.
Suzanne Witnauer - Vice President
Suzanne Witnauer is Vice President and co-founder of Aduo, Inc., working with Paul McAfee to establish a certified SDVOSB commercial general contracting firm in Western New York.Aduo, Inc., was Incorporated in New York State in August, 2007. Suzanne brings 20 years of executive-level business management and strategic planning experience to the leadership of the companies. She epitomizes customer service, teamwork, and customer relations.Prior to co-founding Aduo, Suzanne founded a construction company and she held executive positions with other area General Contracting firms.
Suzanne is currently serving as President of the Rotary Club of Akron-Newstead, in Akron, New York.She is also President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Buffalo Niagara Chapter) and is Treasurer of the Advisory Board for the Canisius College Women’s Business Center.
Suzanne is a Professional Active Member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), and also maintains membership with the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and Erie County. Suzanne is an ’05 graduate of Canisius College’s Leadership Program for Women, an ’05 graduate of LP Ciminelli’s Construction Business Training Program, an ’04 graduate of Niagara County Community College’s Dept. of Labor/OSHA Training Institute’s 10 Hour OSHA Training, has completed numerous additional construction, business and safety related training programs, and she holds an AAS degree in Construction Technology from Erie Community College.
